Abstract
Provides design rules for composite dowels as shear connectors for composite members. Gives general rules for the dowels in a range of shapes and more specific rules for certain shaped dowels. The composite member can be used in civil engineering construction under static, quasi-static and dynamic loads. It can be applied in hogging and sagging moment regions, and hogging/sagging transverse bending.
