Abstract

Focuses on the Manchester site of Maggie's Centre scheme, which provides a space for people affected by cancer to find emotional and practical support. The aim of the centre's is to use architecture in the process of therapy. The Manchester site houses a greenhouse and veranda with flexible-use spaces for socialising. Areas covered include building appraisal, client's view, environmental data, working detail and specification. Also includes a Q&A with Norman Foster. Architect: Foster + Partners.
