Abstract

Provides an overview which focuses on the implications of the amendments to Part L on facade design, touches on bomb-proofing and using robots in cladding fabrication and looks at new products. This article then goes on to look at three projects: Maidstone museum and Bentlif art gallery east wing (Hugh Broughton Architects), Telehouse west data centre Docklands (YRM) and New Brook buildings, central London (John Robertson Architects). Includes a Product Matrix section focussing on terracotta rainscreen cladding products.
