Abstract

Provides an overview looking at roofing and drainage design and specification, with a survey of relevant legislation, guidelines and standards. Also discusses useful products, covering a range of roofing type and provides suggestions for a roof design checklist. This article then goes on to look at three projects: Langley Green Children's Centre (Re-Format Architects), BFI Master Film Store (Edward Cullinan Architects), Auden Place Nursery (Square Feet Architects). Includes a Product Matrix section focussing on aluminium coping products and a costs section relating to roofing.
