Abstract

Argues that the new forms of design and build, now the predominant form of building procurement, is changing the way in which architects work. In future most architects will be employed by the contractor not the client, unless they develop other skills and roles. Followed by illustrations of some recent design and build projects plus a list of recent publications related to the topic.
