Abstract
Conversion of former Oozells Street School, Birmingham, to provide a new home for the Ikon Gallery which includes storage and assembly areas, cafe, workshops and full access for visitors with disabilities. As well as repairs to the existing structure, a new glass lift and stair tower has been inserted and a basement constructed, using 'top-down' methods. includes cost analysis.
